February 28th!!

Happy last day of February! I'm sure everyone is ready to be done with every detail in the life of the Crums!

Chris didn't have school today, so we were able to take it a little slower before dropping Bryce off. Bryce decided to tackle my laundry pile here, and then Chris decided to tackle Bryce. Don't ask.
Chris wanted to give Bryce a piano lesson this morning. That didn't last too terribly long.
After we dropped Bryce off at a school, Chris and I went to the bakery and played Uno. I forget how easy these guys are when they're one at a time! Chris is so fun now, because I can really play big kid games with him. He gave me a run for my money in Uno!
When we got home he wanted to play Qwirkle, another game I really have to be on my toes for!
Then, it was time to pick up Bryce. He was so excited to see Chris!
Later in the day, the boys had swim class. Chris can almost swim to the end of the pool!
Jumping Bryce!
We had BBQ for dinner. Yum! The boy's favorite part is the Oreo they give them at the end.
And here's Bryce posing exactly how Chris did : ).
Hope you all had a Beary good February! Thanks for catching up with us!

-30

Hello! It's cold today. I was kind of surprised Chris had school. I only saw -13 on the thermometer, but I think the windchill was -30.

Here he is, playing some piano this morning.
After school drop off, I took Bryce to the city library with our friends. He walked up to this statue and said, "Take my picture". I think he's getting used to all of this blogging.

Surprise, surprise, he wanted to play cars.
Here he is at the kitchen. He actually pretended to eat the pretend fruit. Baby steps!
And of course, lots if book reading!
After we picked up Chris from school, we decided on mac & cheese for a snack. This is what happens when you have more negative temperature days than you can count. Comfort food!
Chris had his sports class tonight. It's a combo of t-ball, lacrosse, football, and lots of tag.
Goal!!

Tuesday and Wednesday

No post yesterday, we had a fairly busy day and then an eventful night. Here's Bryce yesterday morning. We went grocery shopping and he was holding the split peas. All the sudden he started rocking them and singing them a song like a baby. Pretty adorable, right?
Later in the morning we went to the Walker Arts museum for "Arty Pants". They tore paper to make one project.
And worked on a giant spider web.
Here's Bryce at story time. They were waving to the man in the giant elevator.
Bryce's favorite part might have been this wallpaper. He kept saying "light bulbs and potatoes?". I don't get it either, buddy!
On out way out we drove by the (very snowy) cherry on the spoon. Bryce loves it and was a little upset we couldn't walk over and see it. We are all so ready for nice weather!
Later that day we went to Chris' piano class. This is the walkway to get into her house. It is amazing how much snow has accumulated this winter! It's almost as tall as Chris!
We had pizza with our new pastor that night. The boys stayed up way too late and Chris told me he ate 5 cookies while we were there. Here are the nuggle bunnies before bed.
At 3 in the morning, Chris woke up crying because his stomach hurt so bad. He said it was because he was sleeping with his hand on his stomach (I'm sure it had nothing to do with the 5 cookies and pizza for dinner!). We got through the looong night, and he felt much better in the morning.

And now to Wedneday...
Chris did some cooking in his kitchen.
Bryce did some stamping.
Dad did some tickling.
And that's all I've got! Have a great day!

Monday

Happy Monday! For some reason life after the Friday snow storm isn't back to normal. Everywhere took twice as long as usual to get to. We were 30 minutes late to music class, but just about everyone else was too. Here's Bryce playing piano at the end.
On our way home we stopped by Honey Baked Ham. A groupon came up for it the other day. If you know me well, you know I can not resist HBH. Bryce was a big fan as well.
After we picked Chris up from school, we played find the yellow washcloth around the house for a good hour. So glad the boys have a million toys all over the place and they'd rather play with a towel. The game went like this: Chris would hide the washcloth. We would look all over and finally find it. Bryce would hide the wash cloth in the same place Chris had just hidden it, and then tell us where it was before we even had a chance to look.

Dad got home, and it was playdough time until dinner.
Then they had a sword fight with plastic bags. (Again, so glad we have all of those toys).
At dinner, Chris told us his teacher told him that a bear blew out the candle of the Olympic closing ceremonies, and then cried because it was over. We had to find out what in the world she was talking about, so we watched a rerun of it. Totally not what I thought she meant, but the boys were memorized by it. That's it for us! See you tomorrow!

The weekend

We had a nice, low-key weekend. I'm sure the boys are ready for February to be over, so I stop paparazzi-ing them, but I tried to get some photos of our day to day.

Saturday morning was car racing. I had no idea when we got this house that the entryway would be such a good race track! They like to race every car they have, and then the top 10 go into the finals. It's intense.
A little Halloween bingo. Dad won the first two games. He may have been a little too excited about it, because Chris had a comeback and swept the last one.
Bryce stealing my water. He now asks, is this sparkling? If it's not, he will take any water down, no matter who it belongs to.
The boys playing kitchen in the bathroom. Did I mention we're ready to be able to play outside?
Family yoga. Good form, right Bryce?
Look closely and you will notice Bryce is using a piece from his train set, and Chris is using a tambourine as their yoga blocks.
Oh, Chris is borrowing mine. Note, the boy's yoga involvement was short lived. It is a little too quiet and peaceful for these crazy guys : ).
Ice skating last night... They went backwards again, and started jumping!
We went to the Eat Shop for dinner. It was very good. Here the boys are with their non-Kraft Mac and Cheese. They kept complaining that they put bread crumbs on it, and it was crunchy. Whatever boys, it was amazing.
Bryce stole a fry from Dad at the end, and here he is showing us where it went. Hahaha.
Everyone was involved with paying the bill.
And one last pic, because I love my faithful readers...
You're welcome.

Snow day (again)

Shocker! The boys had the day off today because of all of the snow last night. I think this would be day 8 off of school in the past 2 months.
Bryce took advantage of having a brother off of school and they played lots of cars.
Chris and I played checkers (Conan ended up stomping Chris at it tonight : ).
Later we had races. I think the final score was Chris: 14, Bryce: 2. Bryce didn't seem to mind.
Then, we went to the bubble. During the day they have open play with lots of bounce houses. Another blurry pic, but you can see they were having a good time.
A little climbing by Bryce.
Now that the snow has passed, we're bracing ourselves for more -10 degrees next week. Anyone want to bet how many more days the boys are going to have off of school before this winter is over?
