Goodbye NYC!

We had so much fun during our last two weeks in New York. We made a list a mile long of all the things we wanted to do, and I think we checked all of them off. Here are some of them...
Conan and I got to see the Late Show. the guests were Matthew M (you know who I'm talking about, actor, Longhorn fan, but I'm not taking the time to google how to spell his last name, sorry ; ) and Ryan Lochte. It was a great afternoon out!
We spent time in Soho. Here are the boys at the Scholastic store. I can't believe this was the first time we checked this place out! We also ate at a restaurant (that was really a bar) that my kids tried to scare all of their patrons out of. Maybe that's why we never frequented Soho. Entirely too hip and cool for us.
Here Conan and I are at the Stossel show. Another super fun experience. Gotta love all those libertarians in one spot!

We spent lots of time at all our favorite playgrounds. Here we are at Madison Square Park.

My mom came in town and helped us celebrate the end of our Manhattan adventure. Here we are on the Hop on Hop off bus. So, so fun. Chris loved it, and for a while said that was his favorite thing in the whole city. Bryce liked it as long as we were moving. As soon as we stopped he wanted to hop off immediately.

Had to capture our last blow up rat. Bryce went crazy for this and talked about it a lot after. It was hilarious, because he didn't have the words to explain it. He would point and say balloon and use hand motions. I don't think I have the words to explain this either, Bryce.
A picture of our door before the movers came. I can't believe we lived in this apartment for 5 years! I have so many memories of bringing 3 week old Chris into it from TX, and then newborn Bryce. We were so lucky to live in such an amazing hall. Our neighbors made the big city feel like home.
Ok, back to our list! My mom, fabulous friend Silvia, and I went to see Rachael Ray. It was awesome! A little stressful actually getting in, but once we were there, it was completely worth it. Guests were a Jonas brother and the cake boss, but the best part was Regis was the cohost and was in through the whole show. He was hilarious.
Here's me... I really wanted to go to a broadway dance class before we left. I have a friend who's in musical theatre who let me tag along to a ballet class. About 5 (maybe 2?) minutes in, it hit me I haven't even worn ballet shoes in at least 13 years. What was I thinking?! The class was an hour and a half, and by the time it was done I was very happy I got to experience it, and very happy it was over!
Derek came into town the last week we were there. We had lots more to do... Like the Yankees!
Bryce loved it! "Catch, catch, catch!"
Lots of Subway time!
Family shot by our river view (which you can't see).
Last night in NYC...
It's blurry because we were moving, but here's our final cab ride, to the airport. Goodbye NYC. You have made the first five years of our time as a family so memorable. We know it's time to move on, but wow are we going to miss this city!
