Ultrasound

It's a little blurry, but here's a profile shot of our Littlest Little Guy! We got a quick view this morning. At my 36 week visit my OB said I was measuring at 29 weeks, so she wanted to see how he was growing in there. The tech today said he looked like he was 6 1/2# though, so right on track! Apparently I have a large trunk that hides him well : ). Thanks Doc, that's exactly what every super prego woman wants to hear!

Shoes on hands?

Chris had a serious case of the sillies after lunch today. He took his socks off his feet and put them on his hands. I probably should have known what was coming when he asked for his shoes.

Art Class

Today we went to a fun indoor play area that's like a McDonald's playground x 10. It's at least two stories of tubes and slides and Chris goes nuts for it. He takes an art class once a week and then gets to play there. Needless to say, I hear "Can I go play now" about 100 times while he's supposed to be painting clay or sticking googly eyes on puppets.

36 Weeks

Baby is getting big! I had an OB visit while Chris was at school today. When she checked to see if I was dilated she felt the baby's head right away. I'm glad he's ready to go, I'm not sure I am : ). We have an ultrasound this Thursday to get his measurements and see what he's up to in there. Christopher's name for the baby right now is Conan Christopher Cru. Last week it was Brooklyn Bridge. Can't wait to hear what he comes up with closer to Baby Brother's arrival!

Boys Family

We've been talking quite a bit about Baby Brother's upcoming arrival recently. On our vacation Conan was talking to Chris about how Mom was about to really be out numbered and we were going to have a Boys Family. When he asked Chris what we do in the Boys Family, Chris responded immediately, "Drink water and play toys".

This picture is from breakfast this morning. Chris was wearing his Big Brother shirt from GaGa and it brought on a whole conversation about the Boys Family and our mission statement. Today he added "Eat food, talk, and sing songs" to it also. Gotta love my boys!

1 Month to go!

Exactly 1 month until our due date! We're getting excited. I have vacation pictures and some belly shots to post. I took the new camera out of the box! And used it! And downloaded the pictures onto the computer!

In celebration of 1 month until we meet the LLG (or 1 week, or 6 weeks, who knows?) I'm going to try to post one photo a day of what our life was like before the baby was born.

Today was great. Here's Chris at his friend Seren's 3rd birthday party. It was at Appleseeds, an open play area for kids. They got to run all over the place, play instruments, dance, and eat pizza and cake. Here's Chris working on the art project. They decorated a guitar with sparkly letters. The perfect project for our alphabet crazy Little Guy! Okay, back tomorrow with another pic!

Weeks 30, 31, 32

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I've been trying to catch up on my continuing education for my RD renewal, and it's been taking up most of the time when Chris naps. Here are my weekly pregnancy pics though.
Week 30

Week 31

Week 32
Eeek! I didn't realize I was wearing the same shirt for two pictures in a row. No worries, Chris smeared soup all over it last night, so it probably won't be making any more appearances if that doesn't come out : ). I took that picture with Chris right before we left for an art class in Brooklyn. It's a good thing I took it in the morning, because I can't imagine what it would have looked like if I had waited until after the class. The place we went had tubes and slides like McDonald's, only it was about 2 stories high. Of course, I had to get in there and help him find where all of the fun slides were. I can't imagine how ridiculous this pregnant Mamma looked in that equipment, but we both had so much fun.

Things are going well in pregnancy land. I had an OB appointment a couple of weeks ago and everything was normal. My regular OB is in my apartment complex, just a few buildings down. It could not be more convenient. But, she practices with some doctors who are farther away (probably no more that 2 miles, but in NY standards, it was a good hour bus/subway ride). It was a pain to get all of the way there with Chris, but it was nice to meet everyone in the practice in case one of them has to deliver the baby. I'm feeling good, just getting big, as you can see from the pictures!

A couple funny Chris stories about the baby. Chris is all about birthday parties now, we have one almost every day for one of his animals. He was passing out party favors (alphabet blocks) after one of his parties and handed one to me to give to baby brother's mom. How funny? I thought we had done a good job explaining all of this baby stuff, but I guess he doesn't think there's any way I could be someone else's mom also. (He does know the baby is in my belly, so I'm not sure how that works out in his head : ). He was also pointing out who different people in a book were to me. He pointed to a little boy and said it was Chris, a man was Dad and a woman was Mom. On the next page he pointed to a cat and said it was baby brother. Good thing we have 2 more months to explain this baby thing to him!
