Chris is 8!

We had such a fun day celebrating Chris' birthday! The day started with Bryce's first t-ball practice. Conan was able to meet us there, so we were all excited. 

Afterwards, we headed to Mall of America for our annual birthday trip. It's hard to believe that it's out fourth time to have Chris' birthday there. That's as many birthdays as we were in NY, wow does time go fast! 

Grandpa Bob got into town last night, so we were glad to have him there to celebrate! He loves to do rides with Chris. I think the feeling is mutual! This is them after the scariest ride at the mall. It's a straight drop down, and I would never ride it. 

 Everyone in our family loves the log ride. I can't wait until Audrey and I can get in on that one!

Grandpa Bob was a little too tall for the Fairly Odd Parents ride, so the boys rode it by themselves. Such big kids!

We went to Johnny Rockets for lunch. It always brings back such fun memories. We used to meet Conan there in NYC, and Chris always loved it. They had a candy Crush shake there that I couldn't say no to. 

Chris loves watching golf with Grandpa Bob so much. He was excited to be able to catch some of the U.S. Open. 

When Conan got home, we opened presents, sang to Chris, and had candy sushi. 

And then the boys were off to a Twins-Yankees game. It was a 7 pm game, so I held down the fort with Audrey. They were a house divided, we have a lot of Yankees fans in our family! 

Chris had so much fun at the game. He even ended up on the big screen! What a fabulous way to end a birthday. Happy birthday, Chris! We love you!

S'mores

We love our fire pit in the backyard. S'mores are usually a weekly occurrence during the summer. So many fun backyard memories in the forest!

Night-night Dada

Audrey's very favorite past time is napping on Dad. Our little 15 minute napper will sleep indefinitely if she's on Dad's chest. She's gone 3 hours, and we have to wake her up. Love that father/daughter bond!

Star Wars

It was the summer of Star Wars! We watched all six movies to get ready for movie 7. They loved these movies so much. Friday night pizza-movie night was something we looked forward to all week!

Bryce!

I love this picture with Bryce. It's the middle of summer, so he's scratched up with Band-aids on, but he's got his Bookie face on! I adore this little guy! 

Brothers

I am so thankful these boys have each other. They really are best friends. I did not know what to expect when I found out I was going to be a mom to a second boy, but now I sure love having boys back to back. There is nothing like a bond between brothers!

First tastes

Audrey was so excited when she actually got to taste fm good instead of just sit in the high chair. She loved getting to try cantaloupe the most!

Trolly

We love the trolly in our little town. We got to ride it a few times over the summer. This picture of Bryce cracks me up. When he started talking on the radio for the first time it was so loud. The driver kept trying to help him, and he stayed so loud. We always joke that Bryce has the loudest little kid voice ever : ).
