The weekend
We had an exciting weekend. On Saturday, the sixth graders at Chris' school played during the halftime of the Marquette/ St. John's game. They played at Madison Square Garden, so it was fun to take the boys there (and me, I was super jazzed to be there in person!). The next day we decided to go to Rockefeller Center to check out the Lego store. The last time we went sparked Chris' Lego obsession. It's fun to see him there now that he actually knows how to put all of the sets together. He picked out bricks from the wall of Legos and Bryce survived without needing the Heimlich, so I'd consider it a success! We ate at a burger place that was delicious! Chris inhaled a hot dog, and Bryce was very excited for mini corn dogs. They were playing a basketball game on the ginormous screen behind us, so all 3 boys were happy!
Breakfast with Bryce
Conan took a couple hours off last Friday morning. Chris was at school, and he took Bryce and me to breakfast. A new Sara Beth's opened up close to us. Amazing! I think this may be the first time it was just the three of us at a restaurant. Bryce was a little excited, as you can tell : ).
Spring?
We had one gorgeous day this week. We all enjoyed some serious playground time. Now we're back to freezing weather, but it was nice while it lasted!
First word
I had been meaning to write this for probably a year, and I'm embarrassed this is still on my wall. The first word Chris ever wrote was on our wall. How very Chris, right? OK, now I'll go magic erase it!
