Happy 4 Little Guy!
Happy, happy birthday to you! We are so proud of you on your 4th birthday. Is it just me, or does 4 seem really old? This has been a great year for you. You've accomplished so much...
You finished your first year of real school. You took a brand new school, teachers, and friends head on. I can't believe this time last year we were wondering who was going to be in your class and what it would be like. Now you're a pro, starting Pre-K in the fall!
You are so nice and loving. You are always telling me "You're the prettiest, Mom". Before you go to bed every night you and Dad tell each other "Daddy and Chris, best friends". You really love your brother. He gets the biggest hugs from you all of the time. You watch out for him too. My favorite was when you guys were napping together in the big bed and you told Bryce not to stand up because he could get hurt. Bryce loves you the most and is so lucky to have such a great big brother.
You are seriously funny too. You're always making jokes that really make me laugh. Today you said you were putting your stuffed cat in the bed. You said, "Oh, I have another animal in here too". I couldn't see what it was, since it was dark. I asked and you pulled out a bag of sunflower seeds that were sitting on top of the pillow. The best part is that you can't wait for the punchline to crack up. We were both almost in tears we were laughing so hard.
We always laugh about the things we say to you that we never expected. "Chris you can't have any more fruit until you eat your bacon" was one of my favorites. I'm also a fan of the stop staring at the book/map and go play too. You are so smart. The things you remember and figure out constantly amaze me. You're reading almost everything, counting to 100+, and figuring out addition and subtraction.
Basically, we couldn't be more proud of you, Mr. Four Year Old. Thanks for being such a blessing to our family!
We love you!

Chris-isms
Here's a pic of Conan and Chris last night. He gets to stay up after we put Bryce to bed if he naps during the day. This has been all the inspiration he needed, he's napped almost everyday this week. Last night Conan and Chris built this car together.
He's said a few cute things recently that I don't want to forget...
We went to Ikea last week and I bought Lingon berries. I asked him if he wanted any and he said, "No thanks, I'll have Obama berries".
Today we were outside and he was scooting with a friend. He fell and ran over to tell me he got a boo boo. I asked if I could kiss it. He waited a second and then said "no, that's okay, I'll take care of it".
Chris has been been very interested in what being married means. He told me he wanted to marry me (be still my heart), but we explained he has to marry a girl his age. He thought about it and named a friend, A. We were talking later and he told me he didn't want to take a bath. I joked that A was never going to marry him if he didn't bathe. He said "I want to marry A and be at stinky!!".

NY logic
Yesterday a rat ran in front of our stroller on the sidewalk (ewww!). It was leaving a big pile of trashbags. Chris told me, "it was just keeping NYC clean". I asked him to explain, because I was not understanding. He told me the rat was eating trash, so he was getting rid of it on the street, therefore keeping NYC clean like it tells us to do on all the signs. Ahh... makes perfect sense little guy!

Bubbles
Bryce and Chris now take a music class together. It may be my easiest 45 minutes of my week. Chris plays on the slides in the room and comes over to sing and dance occasionally. Bryce loves music so much, he claps and dances the entire time. When it's bubble time everyone can barely contain their excitement!
You boys...
These two little guys in matching pajamas are just about too much! Add Bryce run-crawling to this chair while laughing hysterically at Chris chasing him- the cuteness is out of control! Bryce is a climber now. Anytime we let him out of our sight he goes as fast as he can into our room. We walk in to find him sitting on this chair, like a big kid, usually with his brother right beside him. Love these boys!
